Welcome to my World

Featured

Nice to meet you if it’s the first time we’ve met. Feel free to take a look! I’m connected to a few different social networks so if you want to contact me easier, try there first. This site is my hub and portal to all that I do. My latest art can usually be found on deviantart before it makes it here just because I’ve more followers there. However, You can always look here to find out how to reach me wherever I am!

Places I’ve been…

Amazing stuff has happened in my world since I posted here last. A long time relationship ended, I stayed in Tokyo for 6 month to go to a Japanese Language School and was there during the Earthquake on 3/11. I’ve come back home and wish I was still there. What a ride life has been lately. Some of the art I did while I was in Japan I haven’t uploaded. Well one of them is a mini manga I did for the kids in Fukushima so Stu Levy of Tokyo Pop could deliver it there. Nice Guy. Big Heart to help those kids.  So, I think I’d like to clean that up that very short manga and show it off.

Right now, I’m just working on making ends meet at the moment and figuring out how to get a stable income so I can go back to Japan one day. Friends tell me just to go, but I need money to do just that. And well even though was there 6 months my conversation skills leave lots to be desired. I’m a work in progress. LOL

However, back to my art. I’ve been doing some work for Digital Manga Guild under my localizing group called Secret Sauce (Secret Sauces on Twitter) So if you want to keep up with my typesetting and localizing work for Japanese Manga check it out. ^__^

Ok…going to redo this site

Well, I’ve been so busy that things have been easier to post over at my deviantart account.  I spent 6 months in Japan learning Japanese and I want to go back. It really was a fun place to be.  But learning Japanese slowed down my art work and well Now I’ve been getting back into the swing of things. Seems like I neever get break but I decided that I will redo this site and make it more functional for me to use. This one really hasn’t displayed my art the way I’ve wanted but it was a good start. Sooo…next time I  post here, I should have a new site in the works here.  ^__^

But in the mean time, check out my deviantart site while I’m working on this website  http://kaikoloren.deviantart.com

Thanks for visiting!!

Alright…updated!

So I’ve been drawing and uploading on Deviant Art but I needed to get some work done here. I think I want to update this theme but I’m not sure what I want to do yet. I’d rather put up something that shows my art more on the front page so I just need to find a theme I’d like to work with.

I’ve got a few goals for the future and I think they are obtainable just going to take some time. One day,  I’d like to do my art full time and I think that is the dreams of most artists. So yeah, I’ve got to make that happen.

Sooo…I’ve added several pieces to the site!  ”Pride and Punishment” was my most recent digital painting. While “Dressed to Kill” was my most recent Manga style.  Actually, I’ve got another piece done as well that I entered a contest recently for Clef de Sol, a new french manga.  You can see it here  Clef de Sol – There you are!

Need to update!

Well, I’ve gotten a few more paintings done and I need to upload them here so you can see them!

The paintings are Diplomacy,  Hot Spell and What happened to Jack.

At the moment, I posted them over at my deviantart site but this weekend I be updating here.  Just to keep my own art blog on the same page.

I’m going to be at a Steampunk event this weekend at Rose Society on friday selling a few prints in the marketplace.  Part of the proceeds go to a Cystic Fibrosis charity so that’s nice. :)  Should be fun!  Hope to see you there!
